Catching up from a few weeks ago. Taken at the bus stop at 43rd and Madison, NYC.
Metronome Clock at Union Square, NYC
I admit I actually thought this was a US debt clock but it’s not. Oops. It’s just a regular clock. The first 7 numbers indicate the time in 24-hour format, down to the seconds. The last 7 show how long til midnight, again in 24-hour format. Way cool.
This little guy is an Eastern Carpenter Bee. It was just boring away at the little hole in this post. And it was HUGE! About the size of my thumb to the first knuckle! I got as close as I dared. Probably not a great demonstration of ‘tiny’ but it works for me.
The only shot I could get of something red during a week of nothing but RAIN. Were it not for the need for household items I’d have had to skip this week.
Found a little chipmunk at the NY Botanical Garden’s Azalea Garden.
Despite New York being a city with so many boxy buildings, signs, etc., it wasn’t too hard to find ordinary, but interesting round objects. I may revisit this theme, as I’ve just recently thought up some other things here that are round and a lot more interesting.
